Wonderful Wally

 

Officer Alex Bastian and his wife Kelsey, have a little boy named Walter (Wally).  Wally has been diagnosed with a rare syndrome called Barth Syndrome .  It affects this little guys heart.  He has been in an out of the hospital since birth.  A lot of you probably don’t know about it because they weren’t asking for help.  On January 7th Wally’s condition had worsened.  Ofc. Bastian was at work in the middle of the night and they rushed Wally to the hospital.  Wally has been at the hospital ever since.  He was soon life flighted to Chicago where he has already undergone two heart surgeries and placed onto a heart transplant list.

Wally is a very tough kid and so is the family.  They chose careers (police officer and nurse) in order to help others.  Now it’s time to help them.  As you can imagine, despite insurance, the costs of extended stays in hospitals is astronomical.  If you have the ability to do so, there has been a Go Fund Me page set up for the family.  You can also drop off donations at Busey Bank located at 917 N. Fourth Street, Chillicothe, IL or donations can also be mailed to Busey Bank, Attention Wally Bastian, PO Box 259, Chillicothe, IL 61523. and the funds will make it to the family.

We realize a lot of people want to help Wally and his family and think it’s wonderful. Unfortunately there are people out there that tend take advantage of situations like this and raise money for themselves under the guise of the true cause. To help limit this we have created this page. If the event or location is not listed on our website it has not been verified by us. The safest way to donate to Wally is stopping by Busey Bank or mail them a check for a donation.

Feb. 21st from 5-9pm 15% of food sales go to Wally!
Feb. 28th from 11am-9pm 15% of sales go to Wally!
March 2nd from 8am-2pm 50% of sales will be donated to Wonderful Wally!

 

March 4th 15% of sales from 11am-9pm go to Wally!
March 13th 10% of food sales will be donated to Wally!
Up to 15 percent of our total sales will go towards this fundraiser- plus an extra $3 for every Show booked from the event.
Our online Thirty-One party will run through the 23rd of February. I will donate 100% of my commission from this party. (That will be 25% of the party’s total.)

 

15% of profits will go toward the family + LuLaRoe donates per piece purchased as well. It will run through Feb 24th, and to join the VIP group or follow LuLaRoe Jen Melton for more ways to shop.
