Sick Time
First year full time dispatchers will be allowed 24 hours of sick time after 6 months
More than 1 year of service is provided 64 hours per year for Full-Time
Can accumulate up to 600 hours of sick time
Personal Time
Full-time dispatchers will earn 40 hours per year (paid at the end of the year if unused)
Vacation Days
End of year 1: 40 hours
End of year 2-4: 80 hours
End of year 5-9: 120 hours
Year 10 – beyond: 160 hours
Bereavement Days
A death within the immediate family: 5 days
A death within the extended family: 3 days
Clothing Allowance
$450 a year for full-time dispatchers

Monitor radio and telephone calls concerning police, fire, and medical emergencies
Respond to citizen calls
Perform emergency medical dispatching

Multi-task: Ability to listen to a caller, type information into a computer about the call taken, and respond to radio simultaneously
Ability to handle a high degree of stress
Ability to think clearly, speak clearly, make decisions clearly, and take effective action in emergency situations
